Instructional technology facilitator

Where did you grow up?

Valencia, California

Where did you go to college?

Brigham Young University and Boise State University

What was your college mascot?

Cougars and Broncos

When did you first know that you wanted to be a teacher or work in education?

My senior year of high school. I was inspired by my calculus and physics teachers.

Why did you become a teacher or choose the field of education?

It is exciting to learn and even more exciting to help someone else learn.

If you were an app, which app would you be and why?

GarageBand, because in college I explored the field of audio engineering. I have always enjoyed layering sounds and creating music. Good teaching is like the rhythm that drives a education forward and using technology is like the rippin’ guitar solo that excites and captures the attention of the audience.
